The APIC Mentorship Program is a six-month online program that empowers and trains the next generation public health leaders to promote health and health equity in the community with continuous growth and development.

VISION OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Empower and train the next generation of leaders in public health.

MISSION OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

To foster positive social change and empower students and young professionals to advance the health and health equity of Asian American and Pacific Islanders in the United States, associated jurisdictions and the diaspora.

THE PROGRAM

Each mentee, students and young professionals, is paired with a mentor, typically a professional in the field of research or public health. These pairs will also participate in online leadership development sessions and networking.

Mentees and mentors communicate regularly to foster and maintain meaningful connections and explore ideas on how to advance the health and health equity of Asian American and Pacific Islanders.

The program is designed to facilitate the mentor/mentee bond, provide personal and leadership skills, and expand participants’ network with peers and professionals. At each stage of our evidenced-based leadership development cycle, we established events and workshops that will help promote positive change. Through  the creative process of leadership, we hope to go towards our mission of advancing health and health equity for our communities.
