Background
With over 20 years of experience in public health and community-based research, I bring expertise in cancer prevention, Alzheimer’s disease, health literacy, and reducing disparities among Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. My training in Indigenous Health and healthcare administration supports culturally grounded, data-driven strategies that translate research into practice and policy. I have led population-based screening initiatives, built cross-sector partnerships, and strengthened local research capacity. Within the Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health, I offer strategic leadership, grant development experience, and a strong commitment to elevating NHPI voices to advance equity, representation, and sustainable systems change.
