Background
Amanda Tai is a fourth-year dental student at New York University College of Dentistry with a strong interest in public health, health equity, and community-engaged research. Her work focuses on culturally competent oral health care, particularly within Asian American communities, and the intersection of oral health, policy, and access to care. She joined the Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health (APIC) to help amplify community voices and strengthen connections between research, advocacy, and practice. As Communications Director for the 2026–2027 term, Amanda hopes to enhance APIC’s digital presence, improve information accessibility, and support meaningful engagement among members, students, and partners.
